ANNOUNCING: 2020 Veterans Day Fundraising Campaign

This year, we are excited to announce that in addition to honoring our local veterans, we are conducting a fundraising campaign in support of three local, veteran-focused non-profits. The Fisher House Foundation, SRQ Vets, and Turning Points Yellow Ribbon Program provide direct support and services to our Sarasota-Manatee veterans.

Up to $10,000 in donations will be matched this year – so, donate today to support our veterans! 100% of the funds raised will be donated to the Fisher House Foundation, SRQ Vets, and Turning Points Yellow Ribbon Program. Click the button below to donate through PayPal or credit card, or make a check donation to the Rotary Club of Longboat Key Charitable Fund.

Like so many others during this time, we have had to adapt this year. Keeping safety and our veterans as our top priorities, we will be hosting a drive-through Veterans Day celebration in lieu of an in-person luncheon. Stay tuned for more information!

About Us

Rotary is a unique organization of 1.2 million people worldwide, united to provide humanitarian service and help build goodwill and peace. Internationally, it has been a primary force in the eradication of polio and is “this close” to achieving that goal.

Locally, Rotary is committed to developing community service projects that address many of today’s most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. We also support programs for youth, Veterans, senior citizens, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development.

Our MISSION is to be a portal to service, where members gather in fun and friendly collaboration to create and carry out programs and projects that benefit the community and the world.

Our VISION for the Rotary Club of Longboat Key is to be a welcoming, vibrant group of volunteers, respected for their positive impact on the community and recognized for their contribution to the worldwide mission of Rotary International.
