Rotary is a unique organization of 1.2 million people worldwide, united to provide humanitarian service and help build goodwill and peace. Internationally, it has been a primary force in the eradication of polio and is “this close” to achieving that goal.
Locally, Rotary is committed to developing community service projects that address many of today’s most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. We also support programs for youth, Veterans, senior citizens, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development.
Our VISION for the Rotary Club of Longboat Key is to be a welcoming, vibrant group of volunteers, respected for their positive impact on the community and recognized for their contribution to the worldwide mission of Rotary International.
The Rotary Club of Longboat Key currently meets at Parish Hall of All Angels Episcopal Church, 563 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key, Florida on almost every Tuesday at 5:15 (check-in and socializing may begin at 5:00).
Rotary is nonpolitical, nonreligious and open to all cultures, genders, races and creeds. If you would like to learn more or attend a meeting, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are always eager to hear from individuals interested in our mission and in joining our club.
pOur MISSION is to be a portal to service, where members gather in fun and friendly collaboration to create and carry out programs and projects that benefit the community and the world.
